Balance is a Dynamic Concept.

One of the lessons that I have come to understand and continue to cultivate on my journey of losing over 70+ pounds and healing from #trauma and chronic illness is that finding balance and moderation on my plate and in all areas of my life will look different from day to day and even hour to hour.

Some days or hours I feel amazing and have a ton of focus and energy and want to do everything that is on my “get to do” list. Other days I feel as though I need to take it slow and rest as much as possible.

It is on the days of wanting to take it slow that I find my mind trying to create stories of guilt & shame that I should be more productive.

It is in those times that I lean on my @authentictantra training and connect with my need for rest and compassion.

I have come to understand that if I listen to my body, mind, & spirit when it is asking to rest and breathe deeply for a day, an hour, or even a few minutes that I will be more fully present and capable of moving back into the space of productivity.

I have come to also realize that seemingly doing “nothing” is in itself a form of productivity.
